Is it just me, or is everyone you know about to have a baby sometime in the next few months? Goodness, we are done having little ones but the baby fever has me thinking “ok, just one more!” But no. However it sure is fun to shop for tiny little girl outfits!
This baby tag adorned a box of teal, green and tiny ruffles over the weekend and was created for the A Blog Named Hero Challenge #45 – It’s Not In the Cards. Shame on me for not ever playing along with this challenge before!
I used the SC for Hero Arts Stepping Stone alpha and also the Hero Arts Five Line Background on the foliage part of the tag.
Thanks for stopping in!
Hey there! Popping in today to share a card inspired by the brand new challenge Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge #1. I just can’t get over how insanely gorgeous this little bit of paper inspiration is and have been thinking about it for days! The washed out neon colors, stars, fringe and all the little bits. Probably could have made 3 cards but just channeled it all into one for lack of time.
Don’t you agree?! I’m kind of a sucker for anything with a boho feel.
I pulled out a Prima stencil and spritzed on 3 shades of Colorbox Sprays! by Stephanie Barnard + some shimmery golden Smooch Spritz. The embellies are either scraps off my desk or bits and pieces of January’s Swag Bag from Paper Issues. (Such a great deal for only $10, wink wink 😉 )
See you soon!

Happy New Year! Did you make any resolutions this year? Go to any fun celebrations? Get started on an organizational project? My answer to all those questions is yes, yes and yes! Although instead of just one resolution, I like to make a list of goals and projects to accomplish throughout the year. Seems a lot less daunting, and of course then I am never disappointed for not finally doing that one thing I’ve always been meaning to do.
The card above was one that was published in the Winter 2013 issue of CardMaker Magazine (and they are sharing on their blog today – thank you!!) The circles are actually not bokeh, but rather pretty metallic-colored confetti dropping from the ball at midnight. Or at least that’s how I imagine it 😉 Pick up an issue to find the instructions and lots more wonderful projects too!
May 2014 be your best year yet!
Hello there! I wish I could say I’m glad it’s Friday but the truth is the upcoming week is full enough that I should have 2 weeks to fit it all in. Nonetheless, I have been making cards all week instead of getting ahead on my to-do list. Oops!
Here’s one inspired by the MMB#23 at Wplus9. Orange is a tough color for me so this challenge ended up in a bit of a random design. But hey, that candle cloche die makes a nice spool when you turn it on the side. 🙂
Inspired by the following challenges:
WPlus9 Monday Mood Board – #23
Simon Says Stamp – Heather’s Sketch
Ink – Colorbox Pigment Ink (Sweet Melon, Peony, Abyss, Turtle, Dune, Moss Green)
Stamps – WPlus9 (Fresh Cut Florals)
Patterned Paper – Dear Lizzy AC
Dies – Wplus9 (Fresh Cut Florals), Papertrey Ink (Trellis Embossing Plate)
