Hello there! Couldn’t wait to ink up this pretty new stamp set and so I have a card to share with you today. Hooray! Since it’s for my mom and her birthday is coming up in July, I went with red, white and blue but tried to make it more subtle and less ‘Merica.
I used both the sketch and technique challenge #1 at Waffle Flower Crafts. The background ended up being pretty random – I was stamping while half asleep – but when I look at it today, it sort of looks like flowers and seeds and stems floating on water. So I’ll just say that’s what was intended 🙂
Stamps – Waffle Flower (Loved), Avery Elle (Needle Little Love)
Ink – Colorbox Archival Dye Ink: Midnight, Mist, Geranium, Pinkolicious, Toasted Apricot
Thanks for stopping in and have a beautiful day!
Hey there! I have been a bit on a roll this week making cards. Having about an extra hour or two in the morning since the kids don’t have to get up early for school is really coming in handy!
On this card, I decided to try a bit of mixed media technique. Basically piling on a bunch of layers of ink – watercolor, direct-to-paper, IZINK, gesso, spray ink and stamping too. It was fun to try something new and I really kinda love it ❤
The colors were pulled from the journaling card. It’s a pretty one from Webster’s Pages/Allison Kreft’s Composition + Color line. I inked up the edges to try and keep it from blending in from the background and then, because it still needed something, I added the camera die cut. Hey, the dark edges are the effect you get with a Diana, so it makes sense right? Kinda of a stretch but whateva. 🙂
Also linking this up to the current Moxie Fab World challenge to create with a Photo Pocket Page – Journaling Cards.
Have a great day!
