Floral Thinking of You

Hey there! I had a few extra moments today – and thanks to a double shot latte, an abundance of energy and inspiration – so I made a card for a couple of challenges that are going on now.

Papertrey Ink’s MIM#158 asks us to stamp with a watercolor medium – which I did here by stamping into a little puddle of water and then the dye inkpad. The watercolor effect is pretty subtle, but I prefer a more crisp image.

The stamps/dies are from Rosie Posie, Mini Blooms and Label Basics by PTI.

And since this is the last free day I’ll have in the next couple of weeks, I had to combine another 2 challenges in there as well – Stencils, both for the Moxie Fab World Stencils with Style challenge and Virginia’s View #2 stencil challenge .

The stencil used in the background is an older Crafter’s Workshop woodgrain.  There are so many awesome techniques that can be achieved with stencils but I love them simply because I can create a masked background without having to do any extra work – you can see right where you need to stop inking 🙂

Enjoy your Tuesday evening!

  1. I love how the stencil adds the interest and textured-like background to this gorgeous design! Beautifully done, Sabrina! Thanks so much for playing Virginia’s View Challenge!

  2. Saw this at Virginia’s View challenge gallery and just had to comment. This is absolutely beautiful! Love the huge flower on top of the wood grain. Looks great!
