Party Animal Birthday Set

Hi and happy Monday! Stopping in today to share one last post for 2013 – can you believe this year is already almost over?! They seem to go quicker and quicker the older I get, which since yesterday is officially 30! Omg!

Here’s a birthday set created for the Avery Elle AEI♥U challenge using their super adorable party animal mini set. So cute and fun for younger kids – especially little wild boys (I may know one or two of those 😉 )

I followed the sketch designed by Nina Yang, just adding a few extra layers and putting the background at an angle. Pulled out my favorite Colorbox Premium dye inks to match with the colors from Echo Park’s Scoot line (huge thanks to Hydrangea Hippo for sending that my way ♥♥♥)!!

To make the balloon animal look a little more 3D, I used 2 colors of pigment inks to shade the stamp and then clear embossed to give that reflective quality that balloons have.

And for the stickers from the first photo, I stamped and cut out the animal shape and ran through my Xyron Create-A-Sticker machine. Those could be tucked inside the envelope or even used as party favors.

A little something inside as well.

That’s all from me today! I’ll be back next week with a bit of exciting news!!

Wishing you all the happiest new year,
