The 12 Cards of Christmas: Day 9

Just a quick post tonight for day 9. And a quick and simple card too. I love that you can use metal dies to emboss (deboss?) on paper. Especially intricate dies like this one, because even though this doily is beautiful, I attempted once and only once to poke out all those tiny little bits. Far too much work!

Easy to finish up with just a gold embossed sentiment and stamped red bow. Easy as pie. But actually making pie is a little complicated. So, we’ll say easy as rice krispy treats 🙂

Our 3 oldest cuties had their winter musical concert tonight – loved it! And unfortunately since we were in a rush, I forgot the camera, so no pics to share 😦

  1. This is absolutely stunning in its gorgeous simplicity.

I can imagine how tedious it would be to punch out all those little holes in a die cut with this design. Isn’t there an easier way to get them to all come out? Embossing with the doily die is a wonderful alternative! Of course, I don’t even have a die-cut machine….yet. I am hoping for one for Christmas or for after-Christmas. 🙂 Watching the sales……. 🙂
