This month has absolutely flown by but the kids and I did manage to sneak in some fun fall activities over the weekend. We visited the pumpkin patch and picked out pumpkins, played in the hay, took a tractor ride, and got lost in a corn maze. And then there was caramels and apples and popcorn + a scary movie. And pumpkin carving and trick or treating at their school. Needless to say, we were all a little worn out by the time the weekend was over.
But the lovely sight of autumn leaves on the trees and on the ground never fails to inspire. I pulled out an older stamp set and paper kit and created this card. The leaf was inked up with a newly released Colorbox Paintbox — Taos, which has all the right shades of ink for capturing fall. I embossed it with an opalescent powder and added one gold leaf as well to try and capture that pretty evening glow. Gosh, this truly is my favorite time of year!
