Chicago Mini Book + Blog Hop

Hello there! There is a new topic up at Paper Issues today and this time I am a part of the blog hop! The theme is “I Can See Clearly” and we want to see everything you have been making with transparencies, vellum, clear cardstock, etc. Of course there is a prize, sponsored by our own fabulous Lowri of Papervine and I am giving away a gift certificate to the Paper Issues shop too! So let’s get started!

Here is everyone in the hop – visit in any order you’d like…

Sabrina ==> you are here
And check out this amazing giveaway!! Packed full of goodness and all you need to do to be eligible to win is “like” the PaperVine page on Facebook. It wouldn’t hurt to be a follower of the Paper Issues blog and fan of the Facebook page here too. Then just leave a comment letting us know you did so on this post
Another lucky hopper has the chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the PI store, which is packed full of goodies. Just leave a comment letting me know you are a follower of this blog- and become a follower if you are not already 🙂
For my project, I put together a mini book to bring on my trip to Chicago and the CHA show next week! The cover is a transparency I made with some stamps and chalk ink on leftover stamp backing. It was inspired by that clear walk-way in the Sears (Willis?) Tower – which of course I won’t be walking across since it looks terrifyingly high up! But that is THE Chicago landmark right?
There is some Sass paper layered behind which has a few more layers of paint and ink on top and the rest of the book is just some 6×6 Basic Grey paper which made it incredibly quick to put together.
On the cover I stamped with Lawn Fawn stamps and Colorbox Chalk Ink – chalk ink is the only kind that will dry on glossy surfaces (other than StazOn). You could emboss too if you are very patient and have a steady hand.
And that’s all from me. Visit Lowri’s blog next ♥

  4. Your mini is so cute! I only use the Colorbox chalk ink, and had no idea it would dry on a glossy surface. Thanks so much for the tip!! I'll be at CHA on Wed … can't wait!
